I recently found a new primary care doctor and she is THE BEST! In addition to being a great person, she also appreciates handmade items so I had to make her a little quilted something. My mom made me a bag from this pattern and it was so adorable that I had to make one too!

The pattern is called the Patchwork Drawstring Bag by a new to me designer, Ma & Me. Usually I really struggle with quilting math and when I try to make a patchwork pouch it never turns out to be the correct size, some blocks are always getting cut off. This pattern is a breeze and there are no chopped-off blocks!

Even the base of the bag looks cute!

I like to mock up my patchwork as my brain is just too rigid to wing it, lol. Here’s how I lay everything out using a mini design wall and my ironing table.

All fabrics were from my stash, mostly Ruby Star Society and Heather Ross, my two favs.
