Around the World Baby Quilt

My daughter’s favorite teacher is having her first child (a girl), and as soon as I saw this fabric line, I knew I had to make it into a baby quilt. This is made from a Cottage Grove fat quarter bundle from Art Gallery Fabrics.

The backing is the apple print in the softest flannel. I did buy a bit extra of my favorite prints so I could fussy cut a few of them. 

No pattern – just a simple Around the World in 2.5″ (cut size) squares. I quilted this one myself with a grid of diagonal lines.

Here it is on my design wall – makes repeating patterns a breeze!

Finished size 34″x36″.
