Barkcloth Bookish Tote

I’d been eyeing this tote pattern for awhile so when the shop had a sale, I got to it!

This is the small size Bookish Tote and boy was it fun to make! The tote finishes at 8″w x 11″h x 5″d – just a really nice size.

I made some changes to the pattern – added an interior welt pocket (followed the tutorial from Shamballa Bags), made the front pocket taller and used a ⅜” seam allowance instead of ½” because my foot guide doesn’t have ½” and I’m too lazy to mark it with tape, lol. I increased the lining seam allowance to ½” after the facing so it would fit snug without bagging.
