Harris Tweed Charlotte

My sis is headed to Scotland, so I made her a small crossbody using genuine Harris Tweed. This is the Charlotte crossbody, previously made in hot pink leather.

I purchased the tweed from Emmaline Bags in Canada and they provide great tips on how to work with the wool tweed. I interfaced prior to cutting but used no other interfacings. The leather for the gusset is very lightweight so I didn’t run into any issues.

You get official Harris Tweed labels when you purchase yardage – makes the bag look so professional! And notice that pattern matching! 🤩

I made the same type of belt buckle strap as I did for my previous Charlotte. I think it really elevates a standard strap. The lining is waterproof and the whole bag is very lightweight.
