I always struggle with what to make for men so a few years ago I designed this Dopp kit for my husband. It’s a great size and handy to pack with toiletries or anything else you might need. I have one to carry my sewing supplies when traveling.

The shape and size are modeled after something I saw online so I can’t take credit for that but I was pretty pleased with how my pattern turned out!

The Notre Dame patch I bought on EBay and the Ireland one is vintage from an estate sale.

I’ve been hunting for years for a good binding material and I think I’ve found the winner! This was my first time using stretch Petersham and it is absolutely perfect! Just that slight amount of stretch allows it to flow around the curves without bunching. This Petersham has a center line so it folds nicely over the edge so I only have to stitch it on in one pass unlike traditional bias tape with requires two passes. Yay!
