I find it hard to visit friends without bringing a little something homemade. We’re headed to Canada soon and this pouch is for a college English professor – this typewriter fabric was calling her name!

This is the size small Maeve pouch – I just love the way this pattern comes together with the inset zipper. So well written and I appreciate having cut dimensions instead of using pattern pieces.

Note for future makes, center your exterior fussy cut 1.5″ down from the top and 1.75″ up from the bottom (regardless of pouch size). This allows for the 1.25″ boxed bottom corners and 1″ fold down at the top. Shoulda, coulda, woulda and that typewriter would be better centered. 🤦‍♀️

Since I used leather for the base, I used my Juki industrial 1541S for any stitching through leather. I also used my industrial to topstitch the final pouch mainly because I didn’t have a strong enough thread that matched for my domestic (Juki TL-2010Q).
