I’ve sewn this pattern at least 5 times, that’s how good it is! I wanted a blue bag to take on an upcoming trip (matches my travel wardrobe better). I was initially going to take the olive green bag I made for my last trip but the strap slider kept falling down so I knew that wouldn’t be a good option. I wanted this bag to be super light but also strong – enter Rockywood’s UltraGrid fabric.

I also wanted to add a cell phone safety – that’s the long pink cord in the photo below. I would hate for my phone to get stolen on an international trip. I found a YouTube video on how to tie a barrel knot using stretchy paracord.
