Does this look like it was a pain in the ass to make? Yes, yes it was. But it’s sure cute though. Made this for my mom for Mother’s Day – she’s the only one who will appreciate the time and materials put into this pouch.

Rosie’s patterns are adorable but they all use ¼” seam allowance, which on smaller projects is fine, but with a bag like this one you really need ⅜” for ease of construction. If I made this one again I’d rework the pattern to use a larger seam allowance. I’d also widen the gussets slightly as the zipper gusset portion is too narrow for my liking.
I had to use my industrial machine to get through all the layers of attaching the gussets and binding.
The pouch finishes at 7.5″ wide x 5″ tall x 3″ deep.
